The American Society for Enology and Viticulture (ASEV) is a nonprofit, scientific society dedicated to the interests of enologists, viticulturists and others in the fields of wine and grape research and production throughout the world. Formed in 1950, the ASEV was originally composed of researchers from the University of California and California winemakers.
