Making Childrens Health a Legislative Criteria

Client: California Center for Public Health Advocacy

California legislators lost the ability to stand on the sidelines when Brown·Miller Communications released an analysis of children's fitness and obesity numbers by State Assembly Districts. The aggressive media advocacy campaign on behalf of the California Center for Public Health Advocacy captured statewide headlines and forced policymakers to take a leading role in providing public policy to address this situation. As a consequence, no fewer than nine new bills have been introduced to begin addressing the state's childhood obesity epidemic.
