founder of Brown·Miller
Communications, Inc., Michael Miller
has spent over 18 years juggling the
media, the public and policymakers
in order to shape public opinion and
instigate positive societal change.
A former journalist who continues to
publish columns on public relations
and media advocacy, Michael’s
experience provides him with an
understanding of how best to work
with the media. He regularly
translates the needs and news of his
clients into messages that reach and
stimulate public policymakers on a
local, state and national level.
With his extensive advocacy and
lobbying experience, Michael has
served on a variety of client,
community and industry boards, and
is regularly invited to speak
nationally on the subjects of media
advocacy, social marketing and
public relations.
Having all the balls in the air is
one thing, being able to catch them,
change them and toss them back up
there while keeping the others in
the loop shows definite mastery. The
communication of an idea, having
that idea be heard and serve as a
catalyst for change requires the
mastery that Michael has exemplified
in all that he has accomplished,
